January 2: Luther’s best wrestlers should get tests Thursday

Luther High School’s wrestling team isn’t filled with depth this season, fielding just seven wrestlers. But two of the Knights better wrestlers, Billy Schomberg at 125 and Sam Hendrickson at 130, should get tests in a dual at Blair-Taylor Thursday.

Schomberg could face 2008 Division 3 state qualifier Ryan Capouch in the dual. Capouch has four of his first five matches this season.

Hendrickson could face 2008 D3 sectional qualifier Reed Waldera Thursday. Waldera won four of his first six matches of the season. Luther’s varsity has not competed since its season-opening Dec. 4 dual at Whitehall.
